House Concert - April 13th

JAMES HURLEY

We first met James six years ago at our first Far West Folk Alliance and it took us till last weekend to coordinate our schedules so he could play for us.  It was worth the wait.  James says he doesn't have a playlist but he 'free plays' his guitar until an inspiration strikes him.  Were we skeptical?  Maybe at first but it didn't take long to watch a smile come over his face when he had the idea for the next song.  And so it went.  An excellent free form guitar riff, a (knowing) smile, a song and then the story.  James held court for a (mostly) uninitiated audience that never wavered in it's attention and appreciation for James' artistry and skill.  2019 can't come fast enough.
